What is the Laser Cutting Process?
Benefits of Laser Cutting
Functional Accuracy
Laser cutting allows for highly precise cuts on the metal surface that leave a fine cut and smooth finish. This not only helps the products and finished components to be more reasonably pliant but also reduces the material wastage.
Cost-Effective & Sustainable
The process utilizes the heat of the laser beam to melt and cut the material, hence there is no physical touch involved which reduces repair costs and damages to the finished product. Compared to other cutting processes consuming as high as 50kW of power, laser cutting utilizes only around 10kW making it a more sustainable choice.
Cutting Versatility
Laser cutting process can work with a variety of metal sheets across a range of strength, corrosion-resistance, conductivity, and thickness. Materials like mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper can be efficiently cut into intricate designs and patterns.
Prevents Burrs
The laser cutting process outputs excellent burr-free cut quality on the metal surface and focuses on minimizing any warping or distortion even for thin metal materials.
The Edalica Process
We house sturdy Fiber Lasers with 100 times stronger beam intensity and cutting capacities than any gas laser. The laser cutting process includes the cutting head automatically moving over the metal surface in the required shape to get the desired results. A focal distance is also maintained between the nozzle head and the surface which helps in determining the quality of the cut received on the plate.
