Laser Cutting Service

Laser cutting is one of the most popular sheet metal profiling processes that is contact- free and programmatically controlled. Edalica Metals offers extremely accurate laser cuts for simple to complex jobs by employing high-power fiber lasers that can cut higher gauge metals with less energy consumption as compared to plasma cutting.

What is the Laser Cutting Process?

Laser cutting is a process that is typically used to cut metal plates of different materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum for a variety of manufacturing and industrial purposes. The laser beam is a column of very high-intensity light that is focused on the metal surface through a nozzle head of the CNC laser cutter. This results in extensive heating, melting, and vaporizing on the metal surface with ease.

Benefits of Laser Cutting

Due to the contact less nature of the laser cutting process, there is no downtime and wear and tear of parts when the machines are turned off to replace blades. This reduces the operational cost significantly without compromising the performance.

functional-accuracy

Functional Accuracy

Laser cutting allows for highly precise cuts on the metal surface that leave a fine cut and smooth finish. This not only helps the products and finished components to be more reasonably pliant but also reduces the material wastage.

cost-effective-sustainable

Cost-Effective & Sustainable

The process utilizes the heat of the laser beam to melt and cut the material, hence there is no physical touch involved which reduces repair costs and damages to the finished product. Compared to other cutting processes consuming as high as 50kW of power, laser cutting utilizes only around 10kW making it a more sustainable choice.

cutting-versatility

Cutting Versatility

Laser cutting process can work with a variety of metal sheets across a range of strength, corrosion-resistance, conductivity, and thickness. Materials like mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper can be efficiently cut into intricate designs and patterns.

prevents-burrs

Prevents Burrs

The laser cutting process outputs excellent burr-free cut quality on the metal surface and focuses on minimizing any warping or distortion even for thin metal materials.

The Edalica Process

At Edalica, we limit the human intervention in the laser cutting process and enhance the production time for better results with the help of best-in-breed laser equipment. Our powerhouse machinery with automatic moving heads execute the laser cutting process efficiently.

We house sturdy Fiber Lasers with 100 times stronger beam intensity and cutting capacities than any gas laser. The laser cutting process includes the cutting head automatically moving over the metal surface in the required shape to get the desired results. A focal distance is also maintained between the nozzle head and the surface which helps in determining  the quality of the cut received on the plate.

Technology We Use

Our custom laser cutting process maximizes productivity and offers cost-effective solutions for your manufacturing needs. We eliminate any additional man-hour required to finish the processed surface.
