What is the Plasma Cutting Process?
Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through metal materials on the application of hot plasma jetted on the surface. It is most suitable for cutting sheet metal of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and works by making an arc between an electrode in the nozzle (torch head) and the metal surface being cut. This nozzle then forces compressed gas which gets charged with electric current and is hence called plasma. Additional gas around the cutting area helps to create cleaner cuts.
Benefits of Plasma Cutting
Material Versatility
Plasma cutting technology helps cutting a variety of electrically conductive materials in addition to high-alloy steel and aluminium ranging from medium to large thicknesses. It can cut multiple stacks of metal with ease and precision.
Cost Effective
This technique has proven high cutting speeds of up to 10x higher than with oxyfuel and fine flat finish with high definition plasma, thus making the entire process not only faster and productive but also inexpensive.
Guaranteed Automation
Plasma cutting utilizes electrically charged high-temp gas which seamlessly melts the metal quickly and blows the molten metal away from the cut. This entire process can be automated for improved operational efficiency.
Prevents Deformation
With relatively high cutting speeds, high definition plasma cutting reduces heat transfer to the metal which is often the reason behind accelerated metal warping.
The Edalica Process
We specialize in processing all kinds of sheet metals for plasma cutting to mitigate soaring costs as a result of defects and overtime. Our plasma cutting process is engineered to handle customizations and scale on demand at the same time.

- Material Support: Stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and more
- Positional Accuracy
FERRIC-JONSEN SANDER
Dealing with heavy-gauge material for plasma cutting might lead to some uneven or raised edges on the metal surface called burrs. However, we ensure that the surface cuts are as neat as possible. Hence, we utilize the Time-saver Sander machine which cleans all the burrs from the previously cut metal surface making it all even.
